Just like our customers, Qred has been on a journey from a simple business idea and today we are a bank with operations in several European countries.
2026
Qred has made the FT1000 list for the sixth time. In addition, Qred Bank has now supported over 70,000 businesses, creating 20 jobs every single day.
2023-2024
Qred was established in Stockholm with a vision to revolutionize small business banking and put the customer at the center. Next step: conquer Finland by opening a new office in Helsinki.
2021-2022
Qred takes on the Danish market and changes the game in business finance. Then we head south and launch our services in the Netherlands.
2019—2020
Qred is expanding its European reach with a launch in Belgium.
2017-2018
Qred introduces its corporate credit card, which simplifies everyday life for entrepreneurs in Finland and Sweden. Then we land in Norway to strengthen local business ambitions.
2015-2016
Qred officially turns into Qred Bank after securing its banking license. Subsequently, Qred Bank expands into Germany and introduces savings accounts in both Germany and Sweden.

Qred Bank is a bank that helps small businesses with financing and smart business solutions. We were founded in 2015 by entrepreneurs who wanted to make business financing simpler, faster, and more transparent for small and medium-sized businesses.
Qred holds a banking license and is supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority. This means that Qred adheres to exactly the same laws and regulations as other banks, while maintaining the speed and simplicity from our fintech background.

What services does Qred Bank offer?
Qred is a bank that targets small and medium-sized businesses. Therefore, business loans have always been at the core of our operations. Qred later realized there was a lack of a corporate card for smaller, more day-to-day expenses. That's why Qred VISA was launched in several of our markets. For private individuals, Qred Bank offers savings accounts in Sweden and Germany with two different schemes – flexible and fixed.
Why was Qred founded?
Qred was founded because our founders saw that small businesses often had difficulties getting quick and easy financing from traditional banks. The goal was to create a better banking experience for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Emil Sunvisson is the CEO and co-founder of Qred Bank. Emil holds an M.Sc from the Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan and an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics. Emil is a serial entrepreneur and has previously served as CEO of Cherry and co-founder of Yggdrasil Gaming. In addition to being a popular speaker at conferences and events, Emil has been a frequent guest on podcasts to talk about corporate finance and entrepreneurship. Since its inception in 2015, Qred has been launched in six different countries, and has been recognised by the Financial Times as one of Europe's fastest growing companies four years in a row.
